A stunning British purple Mangetout Pea with pretty bi-coloured flowers. The vibrant purple pods are best picked when young and sweet. Can be eaten raw, stir fried or steamed, although the latter two will cause the pods to turn to a dark green. Can reach 1 metre. Download sowing guide

• Do not sow where peas have been grown for at least two seasons
• Dig in well-rotted organic matter
• Avoid sowing during particularly cold or wet spells
• Plant in rows 5-7cm apart, 2-5cm deep and 45cm between rows
• Provide both support and protection from birds
• Keep weed free
• Pick regularly to encourage further yield once the peas inside begin to form
