An old European Heirloom variety. Pretty purple flowers develop into dark purple pods. Can be picked young as a delicious Mangetout or left to mature for the wonderful green peas. An attractive addition to either your border or your veg patch. Height 1.5 metres. Download sowing guide

• Do not sow where peas have been grown for at least two seasons
• Dig in well-rotted organic matter
• Plant in rows 5-7cm apart, 2-5cm deep
• Spacing between rows should equal the expected height of the plant
• Provide both support and protection from birds
• Keep weed free
• Pick regularly to encourage further yield
