• Soak seeds overnight
• Sow as early as possible in spring
• 2 to 3 seeds per 7cm pot
• Optimum soil temperature: 15° and above
• When large enough to handle transplant to a well-drained sunny or partially shaded site
• Once they reach 7-10cm tall plant out in raised rows 90cm apart with 30-45cm between plants
• Do not harvest until the second year and then only lightly
• Mulch rows in autumn to protect the plants
• These are greedy plants so provide plenty of nutrients
