A rare find in the supermarket so you need to grow your own! This veg has a very distinctive, sweet flavour that many think is reminiscent of oysters and can be referred to as vegetable oysters. In fact, some find it preferable to oysters. The roots produced are 20cm x 5cm on average with grass like leaves. Slice and fry or boil until tender or can be used in soups and pies. Often featured in French cuisine. Biennial. Download sowing guide
