• Best sown late winter to early spring under cover with warmth
• Temperature: 15-24°C
• Press seed in but do not cover as it needs light to germinate
• Place trays in clear polythene to maintain moisture and avoid drying out
• Days to germination: 10-21
• When large enough to handle prick out and grow on in cooler conditions
• Acclimatise to outdoor weather for 1-14 days and plant our when all danger of frost has passed
• Soil: Well drained
• Light: Full sun
